Particle Image Velocimetry

A summary of PIV methods and results are available here as a Microsoft PowerPoint file (nearly 12Mb, sorry!).

There is also available a pdf version which is much more manageable in size (2.5Mb) but lacks the animations of the PowerPoint version.

An example of PIV, shown as an animation, is here. This is a starting vortex. Click on the image to start the animation (wmv format, 250k)
