Directions to the OELThe University occupies an area to the west of the Kenilworth- Coventry section of the A429 (Kenilworth Road) and to the South-West of the A45 (Fletchamstead Highway), about 3 miles south of the centre of Coventry, and 1 1/4 miles north of Kenilworth. The University consists of 3 sites: Central campus, Westwood campus and Gibbet Hill campus. The entrances to Gibbet Hill campus and the Central Campus are in Gibbet Hill Road, whilst the entrance to the Westwood site is in Kirby Corner Road. Travelling by carCoventry lies at the heart of the UK's motorway system and is particularly well served by the M6 and M40. The following directions will guide you through the most convenient route to the University from your starting point. From the North: M1, M69 follow the By-pass routes marked WARWICK (A46), then follow the signs to the University. From the South: M1, M45, A45 or M40, A46, follow the signs to the University. From the East: join the M1, then follow directions as for travel from the North or the South. From the West: M5, M42, A45, follow the signs for the University.
Central Campus MapThe Optical Engineering Laboratory is located within the School of Engineering, labelled 13 on the map. You should park in either car park 15 or 8. On arrival, please use the phone located just inside the main entrance to phone x.23131 for Prof. Bryanston Cross or x.22334 for the main laboratory. We will come and meet you as soon as possible.
