We are four friends, Joanne, Russell, Alex and Chris. Over the coming year we will be working with two charities, Health The Gambia, and Pageant, to raise £10,000 for two projects in The Gambia. We are raising the money through your support for our attempt to drive 3,600 miles across deserts, rivers and mountains to meet the people we are helping. Easy you think? Well maybe not - the drive will be part of the Plymouth-Banjul Challenge and they have rules. The number one rule is that the car should be a roadworthy banger, normally you would be scared driving a car like this to the shops! We believe that with some practice and good luck we can achieve this challenge. Now where do you come in? We want you to be part of this mad attempt and support the good causes by making a pledge to the charities.

Incidentally, the muppet in the background spoiling the team photo is me, Phil the Webmaster

  • Health The Gambia - UK based charity supporting healthcare in the Gambia.
  • Pageant - UK charity supporting education and related projects in the Gambia. Click here to see how last year's PBC-ers helped build a school...
